In 2013 Barilla, Italian world leader in the pasta sector, decided to export the Mediterranean Diet and its values overseas by opening the first Barilla Restaurant in NY. The Ad Store supported its launch through a communication that is smart and digitally oriented, focused on the importance of having healthy and balanced food habits.

Idea
Barilla Restaurants as Italian ambassadors
It was a huge success, and Barilla expanded the venture, first with the opening of two more venues in New York and then with the creation of a franchisee framework that would allow to replicate the restaurant’s format all over the world, starting from Dubai, UAE. Barilla Restaurants are ambassadors of “Italian friendliness”, while promoting a sustainable food model where typical traditions combine with innovation and technology.
